Remodeling the bathroom provides the perfect opportunity to add little upgrades that you will enjoy every day, year after year.  A bathroom remodeler that keeps up with the latest innovations may suggest upgrades you don’t even know about.  Don’t think they are trying to upsell you. They are just a great bathroom remodeler!  Check out these bathroom upgrades from Inspired Remodels.

Lighted Mirrors

When it comes time to get up close and personal with your grooming, you want the best light possible. So ask your bathroom remodeler to install lighted mirrors or medicine cabinets with lighted mirrors.

You’ll get brighter light focused just where you want it. And they can be easily turned off when not in use, saving energy and money.

Customized Showerheads

Make sure your shower head delivers the experience you expect. If you enjoy long showers but worry about wasting water, worry no more. Ask your bathroom remodeler to install a low-flow or water-efficient showerhead.  This style of shower head is widely available and reduces the amount of water flowing through the head.  Even long showers use a fraction of the water as a traditional showerhead.  The showerhead delivers large drops of water that feels like a high-pressure head.

Speaking of pressure, if you like high pressure, make sure the bathroom remodeler installs a shower head that can deliver the pressure or massaging features you want.

Maybe you want a rain shower head but your spouse prefers a handheld shower. There’s no need to compromise. Just ask the remodeler to install a dual head.

Every bath or shower becomes a spa experience when you wrap your body and hair in a heated towel. Heated towel racks provide extra comfort and extra storage space.

For this Rancho Santa Margarita project, the bathroom remodeler added the heated towel rack right outside the shower door. This keeps the warm towels at your fingertips, whether you are in the vanity or shower area. Quick heating racks get towels heating up in as little as 5 minutes.

Heated Floors

Orange County mornings and evenings can be chilly. Stepping out of a hot shower or a warm tub shocks the toesies when they hit a cold floor.

Integrated radiant heating heats the room by heating the flooring. The heat mats install under your flooring and are controlled by a wall-mounted thermostat.

Heated floors provide a luxurious feeling you’ll appreciate over and over again. Ask your bathroom remodeler if the flooring you selected is compatible with heated floors.

Orange County Remodeling Contractor Simplifies Interior Design

By / Bathroom Remodel, Home Improvement, Kitchen Remodel / Comments Off on Orange County Remodeling Contractor Simplifies Interior Design

Inspired Remodels, the premier Orange County remodeling contractor, creates stunning interiors. Interiors that show simplicity is often the most stunning element of design.

Simplicity in the Bathroom

You just can’t beat the simplicity of white subway tile in a bathroom. Go ahead, try.

This Mission Viejo bathroom gets a stunning makeover with simple white subway tile. Now, simply contrast the white with black and increase the wow and simply gorgeous factor. Next, pop a little interest in the niche with geometric designs.

That’s how you achieve a stunning design with simplicity. Black and white top the list of most important elements of simple design, but that doesn’t mean they are boring. Orange County remodeling contractor uses black and white to create simple but elegant bathroom designs

Check out how white and black come together for another simple and stunning bathroom look. This time marble steals the show.

Black marble tile adds visual interest with white veining. Is there anything simpler than black marble?

Add Shaker-style cabinets and add another layer of simplicity. Shaker-style cabinetry features clean lines and avoids fussiness at all costs. Whether you decide to use Shaker cabinets in the bathroom or kitchen, you’ll find they work and play well with other elements. Why? Because of their simplicity of course.

Simplicity in the Kitchen

Once again, black and white reign supreme when it comes to simple elegance. There’s no fussiness in this room. Cool, clean neutral tones and straight lines set the stage. As a result, the simple curve from the goose-neck faucet at the large sink is almost breathtaking. The same applies to the curved handles on the refrigerator. Straight-rod style handles might have been functional, but they wouldn’t have worked as well.

Now, look at the gentle curve of the crown molding. Simply stunning.

That’s just another example of Inspired Remodel’s keen eye for detail. No element goes unnoticed when they create jaw-droppingly simply elegant and functional designs.

And just because you want a clean and simple design doesn’t mean you must use black and white.

On the contrary. Inspired Remodels used tones from the Earth in this kitchen. Tan quartz countertops, mossy and grassy green tiles for the backsplash, and the orange of a brilliant sunset are the artist’s palette in this room.

Notice the Shaker cabinets? But this time, the cabinet hardware is round. Drawer pulls offer a half-moon design that’s easy to grip and pull and circular knobs complete the look. Hardware plays an important role in kitchen design. Too often, it’s overlooked. But not when Inspired Remodels is on the job!

Orange County General Contractors Share 2021 Design Trends

By / Home Improvement / Comments Off on Orange County General Contractors Share 2021 Design Trends

A new year means new design trends. Inspired Remodels, the Orange County general contractors with their finger on the pulse of design, share the big trends of 2021.

general contractors add wood flooring to kitchen

Wood and Wood Look Floors

Orange County loves wood and wood look floors. That won’t change in 2021.

Pick a room, pick a look, pick the most appropriate flooring.

Living areas, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and home offices sport wood and wood-look flooring.

2021 finds Orange County general contractors nailing and gluing down hardwoods, floating engineered click-lock flooring, and laying wood-look ceramic and porcelain tiles.

general contractors creates shower out of wood look tile for natural effectAnd wood-look tiles show up on more than floors.  This beautiful shower liberally draws on nature. Wood-look tile for walls and seat is the perfect complement to the river stone floor. This type of tile works perfectly in wet areas where wood just won’t do.

Wood or wood-look tile? Can you tell the difference? The wood-look tile of 2021 looks more like wood than the wood itself. Grain and color gradations emulate natural wood closely. Some flooring products feature distressed surfaces as well. So, you can get the look of weathered and repurposed wood in a more durable product that costs much less money as well.

2021 is going to be a great year for flooring.

Colored Cabinets

Colored cabinets are back. Whether it’s a contrasting color for upper and lower cabinets, a specimen piece for a bar, or even a kitchen island, colored cabinets turn up in unexpected places in 2021.

Gray trended for the last 5 years. So, it’s no surprise that blue would become one of the most popular cabinet colors. It pairs perfectly with gray!

In the kitchen, navy blue lower cabinets put the shine on stainless steel appliances and contrast beautifully with stark white upper cabinets. And blue goes well with so many wood flooring options to boot!

Here’s a different room, a different blue cabinet, and different flooring. But it still works wonderfully. The blue bathroom vanity with white top and white hexagon ceramic tile with grey grout takes all the elements we saw in the kitchen above and creates a look that’s completely different.

That’s the flexibility of colored cabinets, and blue is the color for cabinets in 2021.

Bamboo Flooring

Eco-conscious consumers flock to bamboo flooring. It’s renewable and much harder than other hardwood floorings. Strand woven bamboo flooring goes places where wood cowers.

Perfect for high traffic areas like kitchens, entryways, and hallways. Contrary to popular belief, bamboo floors stand up to refinishing.

Be sure to look for bamboo flooring that’s FloorScore certified. You’ll breathe easier knowing your flooring does off-gas harmful chemicals.
